The first picture I have is one of my dog. I decided to really push the black and white with it. The mood it created is definitely worth it! I hope to make people feel all sorts of different emotions with this picture. The second picture is my self portrait. The reason I focused on my feet was because when I was little my great grandma always told me "just keep going!". I never really understood until now. I know exactly what she meant when she said it. I know that I will always have her around even though she may not be with me today. That has been my motto ever since! "JUST KEEP GOING!" The portrait of someone else is of my sister. That girl is the most important thing in the world to me. I wouldn't be the person I am today. I couldn't imagine life without her. The last picture is my group portrait which is of Cody and Haylee. They are just so random and funny! I couldn't help but use that one!(:
I decided to do the Pillsbury Doughboy for my theme. I happened to be struggling trying to come up with something. I opened the fridge and seen a container of Pillsbury rolls and that’s how this theme got started. In the First picture he is rolling out the dough trying to mix the flour in. The expression on his face shows that he is struggling and trying considering the rolling pin is bigger than he is. The second picture shows him trying to open the oven to take the rolls out. Again its a struggle because he is a lot smaller than the oven is. The last picture he is standing next to a finished roll with a pleased look on his face to show the accomplishment of his work. The picture I have taken seem to give a more abstract feel to them. For all of the basically I had the camera put on a tripod and I clicked the button to take the picture. My sister would move different colored glow sticks and it created these affects. Each picture has a different effect. There is The Tunnel which catches your eye immediately. It takes your attention all over the picture. The picture f the star doesnt really fit into the category of abstract but the way the outline of it is so clear works. There is always a typical heart shape so i decided to switch up the shape. The last two picture are basically just waving the glowticks in front of the camera. This wasn't an easy thing to do but it was definitely fun! The idea for the pictures was to show that there is beauty everywhere. I wanted to really bring that through in a different way. The first picture titled “One Love” shows the true beauty in a the necklace. The thing that draws you in is that it isn’t around a person’s neck instead its hanging from a tree. The first thought that came to mind when taking it was that it shows that beauty is not just the way a thing looks but what a person feels. The second picture titled “Still Beauty” was just something that popped into my head. Originally I wanted to make it look almost like a waterfall of jewels. I think for the way it turned out that happened better than expected. Jewelry was always my favorite thing growing up and to be able to show the true colors in just a silver and gold necklace is difficult. The last picture titled “The good old days” was one that really caught my eye. It had this old time feel like I really loved and wanted to make a picture of its own. The arrangement was difficult but it was possible. Definitely one that a lot of people can relate to. Life was so simple then and now with all the change its so complex and I wanted to bring in that simple and elegant feel back. All these pictures helped me in making the theme “True Beauty” come together. |
